Over View :-
Bajaj's line up of scooter stem from their agreement with Piaggio to make under licence Vespa scooters for the Indian market. This deal fell through, and Bajaj continue to make Vespa "clones". The Chetak Classic gets electric start and "anti dive" front forks, while the Retro takes it styling more from a 1960's Vespa offering that classic look. The small 50cc engined "scooterettes" in the line up, the Spirit and the Sunny Spice, both come with twin speed automatic engines. Bajaj also produce huge amounts of three wheeled Bajaj, again modelled on Vespa Ape three wheelers, three body styles are available to choose from. Due to new emmission laws, Bajaj are it seems switching to four stroke power units, but also make Kawasaki motorcycles, perphaps Bajaj will turn to these more in the future due to the technical back they could receive.
